Victoria Pouncey and Beth Ann Kallen are co-owners of Folly, a home furnishings store and interior design studio in Charlottesville. These two friends, who met when their children were in preschool together, like to say that Folly is where north meets south since Victoria is from New York and Beth Ann is from Alabama.

They believe in a philosophy of livable luxury, creating spaces for their clients that are beautiful and unique yet completely comfortable and functional for today’s lifestyles. Victoria and Beth Ann share a passion for sourcing interesting and unusual pieces that set Folly and their clients’ homes apart.

They bring their clients many years of project management experience as well as a wealth of information about new technologies, design trends, and products they discover at the many industry events and markets they attend every year.

Their shop and interior design projects have appeared in Southern Living, Abode, and Wine and Country Living and on the Architectural Digest website.

Victoria Pouncey moved from New York City to Charlottesville, Virginia over ten years ago and began her career in design. Victoria’s sophisticated eye was developed during a 17-year career at Christie’s, the world’s leading auctioneer. As Senior Vice President and International Head of Proposals, she collaborated with top executives and specialists to bring some of the most important works of art and collections to auction in New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong.

Victoria’s love of art, architecture and travel has taught her to appreciate a wealth of international influences that inform her taste. Combining traditional and modern elements is another key to Victoria’s successful interiors, and she loves the challenges that this can bring to the process.

Victoria has served on the board of the not-for-profit Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville and The Women’s Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital. She received a BA in Art History and International Relations from the College of William and Mary.

Back in Mobile and later in Charlottesville, Beth Ann used her London-trained eye and her innate southern style to decorate the homes of family and friends. She has turned a passionate hobby into a fulfilling career. With three children and two dogs, Beth Ann is an expert in designing beautiful homes that meet the needs of active families.

Beth Ann has volunteered with CASA and at the University of Virginia hospital where she has been on the Auxiliary Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Albemarle Garden Club. Beth Ann holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Alabama.
